At Executive Kia, we’re known for selling some dependable vehicles. That doesn’t mean that they can’t be fun too though. Models like the 2018 Kia Stinger show that the Kia brand can deliver performance and a thrilling driving experience. Now it looks like a new version of the Kia Forte could continue that trend.

The Kia Forte model that was recently spotted testing is likely going to offer more power than the typical sedan. A number of visual updates show that it’s been built with performance in mind. It’s equipped with dual exhaust outlets, unlike every other version of the Kia Forte currently on the market. Multiple exhausts usually go well with a more potent engine. This test model was also outfitted with a more aggressive body kit. The grille and fog lights are also a little different compared to the ones found on the base Kia Forte model.

If the Kia Forte is getting more power, it could end up coming equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that can be found in some of the Hyundai brand’s performance vehicles. It has a total output of 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. That will go pretty far in a smaller vehicle.

One thing we don’t know about this Kia model yet is what it will be called. It could revive the Kia Forte SX nameplate. Another option is the Kia Forte GT, which would put it in like with the sporty Kia Stinger and its naming scheme. In any case, we’ll get to find out more about this upcoming model very soon, so keep an eye on this blog!
